We offer you the new turntable covers in clear, looks very good, but is not original or in smoked glass, is original and also looks very good!
Unfortunately, the covers are very difficult to photograph alone!
3mm thickness
All of our turntable covers are 3 mm thick, which is also the same as the original. This is important so that the cover remains in almost all positions and does not fall down. The turntable covers otherwise offered have a material thickness of 4 mm, are therefore too heavy and always fall down from almost any position. You can't leave the cover half open with it! Well, if you open the covers all the way - yes, if there is enough space and there are no shelves or anything in the way!
transparent cover
It is a matter of taste whether you want the hood to be transparent without coloring or whether you choose the smoked glass-colored turntable hood. We want to offer you both versions and leave the choice to you. We can't decide which version really looks better!
Original
The original hood is often scratched and unsightly. The entire hood becomes blind and cloudy.
Professional preparation (grinding, polishing, etc.) is very time-consuming and expensive. You can't get rid of coarser scratches or damaged areas either!
hinge
Often the hinges of the covers break off. These can be laboriously patched, but they don't look good! The weak point of the turntable covers are the hinges, a repair ....
....does not meet our requirements, is expensive and doesn't look good!
breaking points
We're seeing that more and more often too. The plastic becomes brittle and fragile over the decades. More and more often we get turntables without covers or with broken covers. The ravages of time also gnaw at these parts!
repair attempts
all unacceptable for us at revox-online!
Acrylic glass hinge
The function is given, the effort is enormous and optically ...
For us at revox-online, something like that is not for sale!
It works
but see for yourself!
Not only was the repair done very poorly, but the repaired hinge broke again and had to be glued back on.
Something like that doesn't work at all, especially not with a Revox turntable!
still looks pretty good!
And yet that does not meet our requirements!
A professional easily charges €40.00 or €50.00 for a repair of this quality.
We don't want to equip a Revox truntable with it and offer it for sale!
