Since 2003, we have been producing this counter in the fifth generation. Initially, all components were wired. The assembly and soldering by hand was tedious, time consuming and therefore expensive. Meanwhile, we equip almost everything in SMD technology. Except for the power supply, formerly with the series regulator, nothing has changed in the circuit!
The purpose of the meter is:
Like the old counter, to count the tape length and display 4-digit in LED technology. A real time counting like the Revox A700 was never intended. To do this, you would have to tap either of both motors, or the belt length, similar to the PR99 via a pulley.
As a result, you receive:A much more readable display of the currently playing tape length, which in turn makes it easier for you to find specific tape locations. Especially the 7.62 mm high digits can be read well from a distance; Who is already sitting directly in front of the device?
Another advantage is:No slippage: The accuracy is better than mechanical belt-driven counters, which always slip!
Never again do you need drive belts and timing belts, which have to be replaced at regular intervals with a little effort (disassembly of the front panel and removal of the right brake band).
